PERRY, Okla. – The Ditch Witch organization is collecting “My Ditch Witch® Drilled It” stories via Facebook and industry events from customers whose All Terrain drills give them the confidence to get the job done. Participating contractors could be featured in national promotions, like Kentucky-based G & W Construction and Oregon-based Apex Directional Drilling.
The campaign’s first highlighted contractor featured Darrell Alderman, president and owner of G & W Construction in Kentucky, and his team sharing how their Ditch Witch JT3020 All Terrain and JT100 All Terrain drills “drilled” a project with varying soil, 1,236 feet of solid rock and 375 feet of elevation difference in just four days. Their competitors doubted it would work, but G & W Construction had the equipment and confidence to get the job done. They shared their story by video and in a national trade media story, advertising, and other promotions.
The second featured customer, Apex Directional Drilling in Portland, Ore., shared how its JT100 All Terrain drill “drilled” 2,100 feet of hard rock in Washington’s Cascade Mountains. Ryan Zimmerman, Apex project superintendent, shared in a national media story that he knew they were up for a challenge with the 20-foot snow drifts, 90-mph wind gusts and both solid and fractured rock. And the All Terrain handled it all.
In 1995, the Ditch Witch organization introduced the first horizontal directional drill with an optional rock-drilling package that enables drilling through rock, coral and highly dense materials. This unit featured a dual-pipe system that was the forerunner for the world’s most efficient rock drilling technology—the Ditch Witch All Terrain. This one machine can drill and steer simultaneously through everything from mixed hard soils to solid rock. There are over 1,200 Ditch Witch All Terrain horizontal directional drills operating in 23 countries and 6 continents. This technology is the most effective rock-drilling technology in the industry today.
The Ditch Witch organization invites other contractors using All Terrain drills to share their “My Ditch Witch® Drilled It” story via Facebook or directly with Ditch Witch personnel. Simply share the situation, the All Terrain solution, the results, and include a photo or video.
