The Ditch Witch® organization was pleased to loan an SK650 mini skid steer and a Zahn® R300 for a recent Yard Crashers episode on DIY Network. The show outlined how a young couple transformed their weed-choked backyard into a Caribbean Cabana. Besides the weeds, they also had no privacy and no shade in their yard. The Ditch Witch equipment was instrumental in the transformation due to its compact size, ease of use, and versatility with attachments.
The team used the pallet fork to deliver materials, and the trencher to ready the yard for irrigation purposes. The recipients must participate in the process, and they had never used this type of equipment before. Thanks to the ease of use, they quickly maneuvered the machines with some guidance from the Yard Crashers team. The stand-on platform helped keep the new operators out of the mud and dirt and got the job done easier than if they had done all the work manually.
The yard transformation was completed in two days. The new yard showcased an all-weather hammock, colorful cabana, fresh flowers, plants, grass and trees. A Brazilian hardwood deck and sand-textured, concrete patio completed the picture. And no more weeds!
