10/7/2009
PERRY, Oklahoma—Visitors to Booth K-155 at this year's International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE), October 5-8 in Louisville, Kentucky, can see and get hands-on experience with seven new products from the Ditch Witch organization: RT45 Trencher. An upgrade of the RT40, one of the Ditch Witch organization's most popular ride-on trenchers ever, the RT45 features a Tier 4i-compliant engine, improved air filtration, an advanced operator presence system, and new, easy-to-read gauges in the operator's station. The RT45 also can be equipped with an optional heavy-duty engine mount for high-vibration applications. MT45 MicroTrencher. This specialized, streamlined ride-on trencher features solid-rubber tires for outstanding traction. The MT45 is designed to maneuver efficiently in the tightest of jobsites—backyards, between zero-lot-line homes, and other narrow corridors—while installing utilities and communications conduit. The XT855 Excavator-tool Carrier. This product offers the innovative features of the pioneer XT850 model—including the signature excavator with 260-degree swing—but has more than 20 other advancements over the original, including a heavier body, a stronger frame, and greater horsepower directed to the attachment. RT115 Quad Trencher. The most obvious difference between the original rubber-tired RT115 and the new RT115 Quad is the four-track design, which provides increased flotation, traction, and ground clearance. The RT115 Quad also has heavier-capacity axles, a new gearbox, new hydraulic pumps and a new hydraulic motor. JT100 All Terrain Directional Drill. The recently released JT100 Mach 1, the largest Ditch Witch directional drill, now has an All Terrain counterpart. The JT100 All Terrain can drill and backream (with 100,000 lb of pullback force) large-diameter pipe through rock and rocky soil. Among its many other features is a heavy-duty, double rack-and-pinion thrust drive that is field-proven to push through the longest, toughest bores. PR100 Pipe Bursting System. The PR100 is the newest and most powerful of the company's pipe bursting systems, which are used to fracture or cut any type of water, sewer, or utility pipe and pull in new pipe of equal or larger diameter. The PR100 offers more efficient hydraulics, reduced power pack noise output, 204,000 lb of pullback, and many other advancements. Zahn® with Track Option. After being introduced two years ago, Zahn power utility equipment became known for its unique combination of power, speed, and productivity. Now the Zahn offers an additional benefit: outstanding traction, thanks to heavy-duty, oscillating rubber tracks, which are currently available on two-wheel-drive Zahn models (available next year for the 4WD models). Construction professionals unable to attend ICUEE 2009 can find more details about these new products, event updates, special financing offers, and other informative special features on the Ditch Witch organization's Facebook and Twitter pages. Look for full-length press releases about each product in the near future. |
