Ditch Witch Organization Exhibiting At ICUEE 2011

PERRY, Oklahoma — The Charles Machine Works (CMW), Inc., manufacturer of Ditch Witch® underground construction equipment, will be exhibiting at this year’s International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE), which takes place at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, October 4-6, 2011.

Ditch Witch products and company representatives can be found at Booth K155. New and recently released Ditch Witch products to be showcased at ICUEE include:

ICUEE is also known as The Demo Expo because it’s a trade show that encourages attendees to not only study and ask questions about new equipment, but also “test-drive” the equipment at ICUEE’s large outdoor demonstration area.

In addition to demonstrating products, the Ditch Witch organization will present performances of the Super Witch® V trencher each day of the show. A favorite of underground construction industry trade shows around the country, the Super Witch V is a souped-up Ditch Witch RT95 trencher equipped with a 502-cubic-inch, 850-horsepower Chevy engine. The Super Witch V can do wheelies, accelerate like a racecar, and stop and turn on a dime. It can also dig 100 feet per minute with its Ditch Witch 910 digging attachment.

In return for visiting with representatives at the Ditch Witch booth and demonstrating Ditch Witch products, attendees will receive a scale-model replica of the Super Witch, and also will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with the real Super Witch.

ICUEE attendees can participate in a special one-day horizontal directional drilling workshop on Monday, October 3, the day before the show. HDD Workshop: Selecting What’s Right For Your Project will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will feature two Ditch Witch organization trenchless technology experts: John Bieberdorf, who will offer helpful information about using electronic guidance equipment during a bore (8:45-10:15 a.m.), and Richard Levings, who will speak about matching drilling tools with jobsite conditions (10:30-11:30 a.m.).

At 10:00 a.m. on October 4, the first day of the show, the Ditch Witch organization’s Jason Proctor will participate in a panel discussion entitled “New Microtrenching Equipment Speeds Last-Mile Fiber Deployment.” Microtrenching is a relatively new method for installing fiber-optic cable on paved rights-of-way such as city streets. The Ditch Witch organization developed the MT12 MicroTrencher for this purpose. For more information about Ditch Witch equipment, please call 800-654-6481 or visit ditchwitch.com.
